Small Groups
At Redemption, we believe that small groups are one of the most practical ways that we experience faithful presence to God, self and others. Our groups are designed with flexibility in mind, allowing groups to fit into the natural rhythms and seasons of life.
Most groups are organized into one of three different windows (Winter, Summer or Fall) and are designed to promote Connection (getting to know people in the church), deepen Spiritual Formation or Mentorship. Groups organize around a common interest or activity. Facilitators don’t need to be experts, but rather be someone who is willing to schedule and organize the group.
You can see examples of groups listed below. Let us know if you have questions or if you’d like help getting connected to one of these groups.
It’s time to submit your ideas for Spring Small groups!
May 19th kicks off our six-week Spring Small Group window, which runs through early July. This is an excellent opportunity to dive into a book you’ve been interested in reading or organize a series of dinners to get to know folks better. When you’re ready, submit your idea through our form here.
If you have any questions or want to talk through your idea, reach out to mark@redemptionseattle.com.

Sunday Sunrise Paddle
Sundays at 7:00am
Organized by Kim MerrikinKayak, canoe, SUP—any kind of paddler of any level of proficiency is welcome to join our Sunday Sunrise Paddle group!
We meet up just before 7:00 am on Sundays across the street from the church—there is a little put-in spot just south of the dock that we put in from. We start our paddle at 7:00 am, so be sure to arrive a few minutes early to unload and get ready.
We will typically paddle south from the put-in spot, and do a lap around the lake (~2 miles), arriving back to our starting point around 8:00 am—plenty of time to get cleaned up for church!

"Parenting Generation Screen" Discussion Group
Sunday at 8:30am
Organized by Ben & Emily KropfIn this group we'll read through and discuss Parenting Generation Screen by Jonathan McKee. The plan is to meet at church on Sunday mornings from 8:30-9:30am (during Youth Group). This is an excellent book for parents who are feeling a little lost when it comes to raising kids and teens in such a screen-centered age. It offers practical guidelines for keeping kids safe and wise online with a heavy focus on connecting with our kids. We hope this group will be equal parts encouragement and idea sharing!
While this book is aimed at parents, it could also be a helpful read for teachers, aunts, uncles, grandparents or anyone who works with kids and teens.
